Accalia Rositani
Accalia is a Project Manager at Second Peninsula. Having recently graduated from Loyola Marymount University in LA with her bachelor's degrees in journalism and Spanish, she spent the last four years broaching the world of media through her school newspaper and an internship at NBCLA & Telemundo 52. Outside of work, she can be found dancing in her living room (trying to maintain any skills she's developed over 14 years of training) or watching movies alone because her parents don't like horror.

Ali Cotterill
Ali is a filmmaker and editor based in Brooklyn, NY with 15 years of experience editing stories about real people. Ali has edited over 250 short documentary films for Fortune 500 companies and nonprofits alike. An old soul, Ali loves the retro video games at NYC’s Barcade, and tries to stay creative by going tech-free once a week.

Alyssa Ortega Coppelman
Alyssa is a photo editor and art and archival researcher, with a career that began in the art and wardrobe departments in film. She also is a Deputy Art Director at Harper’s Magazine and Art Researcher at the Oxford American magazine. Based in Austin, Texas, Alyssa likes to unwind at the lake or the honky tonk, and though she may not start the dance party, she’ll definitely be the one to finish it.

Ana Davila
Ana’s passion lies in creating meaningful content, an ethos that has grounded her through her expansive career in TV production, the tech sector, project management, and her work on digital content and documentaries. This Bay Area native’s love for her city runs deep, and when not creating, she can be found getting in her daily 10k steps along the Embarcadero, or baking and hanging out with her fun, loving husband and two amazing children.

Benita Sills
Born in São Paulo and raised in Southeast Asia, Benita is an all-around international woman of mystery. Her work has been seen at over 150 film festivals and garnered two Emmy nominations and a Peabody Award. Her edit suite is currently pumping out content from Vientiane, Laos, where she lives with her husband and two children.

Brooke Sebold
Brooke is an award-winning genderqueer filmmaker and editor telling stories of marginalized individuals and communities for over 15 years. Her work has screened at major festivals including the Tribeca Film Festival, the Berlin Film Festival, and Toronto International Film Festival, and has found homes on Hulu, Amazon, and Netflix. Brooke grew up in the desert, loves crystals and doggies, and her favorite color is a spectrum of blue.

Fred Arelaro
Fred is a Finish and Online Editor. He worked several years in film preservation and television archival digitization at the largest film archive in Latin America, Cinemateca Brasileira. He also produced and edited documentaries and tv productions. Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Fred is a die-hard Sao Paulo F.C. fan, and in his new town finds peace when surfing at Seaside Reef in San Diego.

Gabi Amerth
Gabi is a Social Media Manager and Production Assistant at Second Peninsula. She is a multidisciplinary artist who believes in social change through storytelling. Gabriela immigrated from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil to NY in the end of 2016 to pursue an acting career and had her film debut at SXSW 2022. She also works as a photographer and videographer. When she's not auditioning or moving stuff around on set, you'll find her singing, writing or at the beach (often all together). She turned a lot of her hobbies into gigs, but doesn't plan on doing that with billiards.

Garrett Peters
Garrett is a freelance post production sound designer/mixer who also writes, produces, mixes, and masters music. He works in both narrative and documentary content, with a goal to use sound to enhance the story being told. Garrett currently lives in Redlands, California with his wife and their 60 plants, where they inspire each other’s creative output.

Jason Smith
After years of field producing for MTV, History Channel, Vice and others, Jason hung up his globetrotting hat and pivoted into editing life. Since 2019, he’s worked on loads of 2P projects including BBS, Tell Me More, PBS Canvas and Salesforce - all from the comfort of his Brooklyn living room (though sometimes he still plays that familiar ding of an airplane seat belt sign just to feel the rush).

Joe Schroeder
Dubbed the “Swiss Army Knife” of Documentary and Nonfiction Production by colleagues, Joseph is a multifaceted documentary producer, with credits in highly acclaimed programming for PBS, National Geographic, A&E, and many other networks. Outside of work, he can be found cheering on his favorite basketball teams, or catching up with the Broadway scene.

Katie Hodgman
Katie is a story producer who has previously worked with horror at Blumhouse Productions but has always been passionate about the documentary and unscripted world. When based in Los Angeles, Katie once walked 20 miles across the city with her best friend—all the way from Downtown to the Santa Monica Pier (and yes, Broad City was their inspiration). Katie currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.

Maria is an award winning filmmaker with a 12-year track record of production expertise, working with large studios, independent production companies, and ad agencies alike. She prioritizes hiring diverse and inclusive cast and crew to collaborate on thought-provoking storytelling projects. In her free time, she enjoys walking on the beach and taking a quick dip afterwards (no matter how cold the water).

Matt is a video editor and motion graphics designer. He is currently based in Portland, Oregon, but spent the last five years in London working in children's entertainment. He has moved on from his work with the Teletubbies, yet he is proud to still call them his friends.

Melissa Williams
Melissa is an Executive Producer at Second Peninsula, and she brings a strong business background and extensive production experience to the role. Melissa spent her early career in the high-tech industry and also founded a high-impact non-profit. She has also produced various events, podcasts and digital video series. In her next life, she wants to come back as one of her lucky children who have traveled to more continents than she has.

Mira Kittner
Mira is a Project Manger and Assistant Producer at Second Peninsula. She comes to 2P with a passion for research, collaborative innovation, and storytelling that can set in motion positive social change. Mira’s favorite part of the job is getting to witness the magic that unfolds when someone new steps in front of the camera. A Berkeley, California native, Mira recently moved back to the West Coast after graduating from Barnard College. In her free time, she enjoys cafe-hopping and exploring the nearest trails.

Steve Goldbloom
Steve is the founder and creative director of Second Peninsula. He is an Emmy-nominated director and producer best known for creating Brief But Spectacular for PBS NewsHour. In 2015, Steve wrote and directed his first feature film Remember Me, which won the Audience Award for Narrative Feature Comedy in the Bay Area’s Cinequest Film Festival. An avid hockey player, if he’s at LAX at 8pm and has a game at 9pm, rest assured he will make it onto the ice in time for warmup. Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Steve lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.

Summer is an Executive Assistant at Second Peninsula. An NYU Tisch graduate, she’s been fortunate to work in NY and LA as an actor and can be seen in various films, TV shows, commercials and print campaigns. She currently lives in South Pasadena with her dream-come-true husband and baby.

Valencia's passion lies in crafting content that explores the depths of the human experience and acts as a driving force for positive change.

Valerie Bischoff
Valerie is a writer, director and editor from Reno, Nevada. Her work champions underdogs, anti-heroes, and outsiders fighting for justice in backwards worlds. Valerie’s award-winning narrative and documentary films have screened internationally at dozens of festivals, and in 2020, Valerie was named one of the International Screenwriting Association’s (ISA) “Top 25 Screenwriters to Watch.” Valerie loves delving into world history, gardening, and playing the accordion. She also enjoys hiking and camping with her husband, son, and opinionated Australian Shepard.

Second Peninsula provides a full range of services that bring stories to life on television. We develop treatments and pitch networks, write scripts, book and direct talent, scout locations, build and design sets, direct crews and equipment, film, photograph, and produce audiences.
We also oversee all aspects of post-production including editing, graphic animation, color correction, original music, sound design and mix, and preparation for distribution.
