As part of PEN America’s 2020 Virtual Gala, President Barack Obama sat down for an interview with former PEN America president and Pulitzer Prize-winning author and historian Ron Chernow. Second Peninsula produced and edited the interview.
PEN American Disinformation Campaign
In preparation for the 2020 election, PEN America dreamed of a digital campaign to help people identify disinformation, distinguish between fact and fiction, and shield their friends and families from being infected by bad information. Second Peninsula worked with PEN America at every step to turn this dream into reality, even during the COVID-19 pandemic. We scripted a powerful set of messages and helped with casting. We shipped video kits to each of the 10 writers featured in the series and filmed them remotely. We intercut the voices together into this final video for maximum impact.
